What Are We Reading In Our Home School?

My kids and I are currently reading Assumptions That Affect Our Lives, by Christian Overman - a book explaining the differences between Greek and Hebrew thinking. Although we are only half way through, we can already identify the many sobering similarities between our culture and that of ancient Greece during its later stages of decay. By viewing the present situation in our country through the eyes of the ancients, we are better able to see the current issues for what they really are.
Even though our family's thinking comes from the Hebrew model (biblical), I have noticed after reading a few chapters in this book that we still have bits of ancient Greek thinking here and there. It is very convicting.
Whether you're home schooling or not, this book is a must read. If you have not already included a biblical world view in your studies with your children, this is a great place to start.
