A Dutch Quilter!

Bonne Maman confiture jars

Most of you know that I love quilting and all sorts of other craftsSo when I come across other crafters/quilters who have incredible talent, visiting their blogs is a treat for me.  One such artist is Corry from Dutch Blue.  She lives in the Netherlands.  Some of you know that my parents are immigrants from that country and most of my relatives still live there.  So, when I came across Corry's blog, I was so excited because, honestly, I really didn't know that Dutch people quilted.  How did I not know that?  I'm a little embarrassed by that.
~
What is so special about Corry's quilts, dolls, tea cozies...is the bright, cheery colors that she chooses for her fabrics.
~
The picture above is a great idea from Corry.  She saves jam jars and uses them to organize all kinds of goodies.  They're so simple yet charming, don't you think?

Thank you so much for sharing this blog!! I only visited for a few minutes and saw the Monday post and I love it! I have always had a soft spot for those sort of designs and patterns and the colors are beautiful! I wonder if there is Dutch in my blood somewhere? ;)

Lovely site Christa! I can see why you are so excited ~ she does lovely work. Those little dolls are too cute ~ adorable. What a great idea to use empty jam jars for little things for your quilting projects ~ or sewing for that matter.

Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
Camille

Corry has such a lovely blog...I have had the pleasure of visiting her blog for awhile now.
My grandparents on both my father & mother's side all came from the Netherlands - I have recently been doing some genealogy research on them...it has been fun!

Blessings!
