Painting and Quilting

Take my love for painting
and
my love for quilting,
and this is what I'm creating.

I thought I wound finish my wooden quilt
block with this.
It will be my signature on others that I make.

This is ALMOST the end result.
Adding some crackle finish to
a few spots will add kind of a
vintage look.

I made this one 2 feet by 2 feet, but
it can be crafted in any size.

Can you picture this embellishing the outside of
a barn or shed?
Maybe hanging on the front porch of
a country home that needs a little
sprucing up?
 ***
I will be sure to make one for myself.
I tend to paint things for friends and family
and then I end up without.
***

This block will be in my Etsy shop
in a few days.
I will take custom orders for
any quilt block design of your choice.

Warm Country Blessings,

Christa

Oh, that is beautiful, Christa! I love the colors. It looks just like a quilt! Amazing how you painted that. :)

I REALLY like this! I love how you have bold color and that's what grabs your attention. Then you have the thread and needle element that isn't the center of attention but really steals the show. It clearly took a very steady hand to paint all of those stitches. I keep looking back at the shadow around the needle...Love it! The hutch you have it on is great too. I'll be watching for more in your shop!

God Bless!

Wow, I was way off! But it is beautiful. That will look so great on the outside of a barn or log cabin. Hey, my brother has a log cabin...hmmmmm.
Love the signature.

Oh Mrs. Smith!
That is sooooooo sweet, I LOVE it even with the needle as your signature! How much are you charging for those?
