For every house is built by someone,

but the builder of all things is God.

Oh Dear!

We are busy canning! I can't believe what I got myself into. I was so excited when I brought home 3 1/2 bushels of tomatoes and a bushel of apples last Thursday from the Amish. The girls and I got busy Friday morning blanching, peeling and seeding tomatoes only to realize that we had a long road ahead of us. We were pretty exhausted by Saturday night and didn't want to set our eyes on another tomato.
Sunday at church, a friend gave me a bag of banana peppers and ochra to can. Monday, peaches, pears and apples made there way into my living room! Needless to say, we are going to be very busy this week.
I set up an outdoor kitchen on our front porch. The weather is beautiful, so it makes a great place to do our canning
Our sea of tomatoes. This was only part of what we had to can.

These are the peaches, pears and apples we brought home from Cane Creek.
Here we go!

Looks like fun! My Mom just bought a pressure caner, and I think it shipped today! YAY! I am so excited, I cannot wait for it to come!
