but the builder of all things is God.

If you could sit down with me, one on one...
What would you like to know?
 What questions would you ask?
I would love to get some ideas from you for some future posts.

Do any of these subjects come to mind?

God, home education, cooking, crafts, tutorials, raising children, husbands, gardening, recipes, testimony, Tennessee...

Hello Mrs. Hester,
I received your request and I love your questions. I will definitely be posting on that. I have received e-mails in the past from women asking me these questions and it's probably time to share via a post on my blog. Thank you for your input.
I did not publish your comment because I wanted to make sure you were okay with it being published. Let me know if you want your questions published and I will go ahead and do that.

Silly me! That's what I get for trying to hurry up, isn't it? :) No, I don't think it would bother me at all if you shared my comment...it may save another sister some time from posting the same question (hoping I am not the only one who has this situation!)

Hi all,
This is the comment that came from Mrs. Hester.

Hello Christa! I hope you have been enjoying our unusually heavy snowfall! I think, if I could ask only one question, it would be a run-on sentence, heh heh heh. But seriously, I would probably be interested in hearing your (and your family's, as a whole) testimony. Was your family always so God-focused, or did there come a point in your marriage (or your husband's life) where you finally said: "There's got to be a better way", and have you always been a godly, submissive wife? I am prone to be too outspoken, and in the wrong ways, when it comes to things that happen in our home. There are some things in our home I would really like to take a baseball bat to (and some days to my husband, as TERRIBLE as that sounds) because they just reek "stumbling block" to our relationship with Him, and either I'm the only one who realizes it or I'm the only one who thinks it's a serious thing to flee all appearance of evil. Sorry for the book-comment :) Looking forward to see the things you decide to share with us!

Ooooo, I think that is a lovely idea! I know I already know some of your family's testimony (as our family's experienced some of the trials together) but I would love to hear your whole testimony! :)
I think it is a lovely idea!
I also LOVE your recipes, and have made most of them for my family! Oh they are sooooo yummy! :)

Anything you write about is so uplifting and encouraging to me and my mother!

God bless you and your family,

Miss Antoinette

Dear Christa,

I know from your blog that you and your family are deeply devoted to the Lord. I also know that you have children in the teenage years. How do you encourage them to live their lives for the Lord and not to be pressured from the outside world. Our oldest daughter is going to be turning 18 and is content to be at home (not to enter college or move out at this time). We are more than happy to have her at home, but she does get pressure from others about choosing a career and moving out. I would love it if you would share your advice on this matter and perhaps we can pass this on to her. She has a deep love for the Lord - for which we are truly thankful for!

Thank you so much Christa!

Blessings!

Miss Antoinette,
Thank you for your suggestion on sharing my testimony. It will definitely be shared throughout posts that are coming up.
Recipes are on the horizon as well.

Nadine,
You have suggested something that is near and dear to my heart. Even though my thoughts on this matter will be very controversial to many, I will not hesitate to share. Pray for me as I prepare these posts.

Thank you so much for your input,

Christa

Dear Christa ~ What a wonderful idea to ask what we would like to read about in your blog! I too would love to hear your testimony and maybe even how you and your hubby met and if you were saved when you married, etc.

My Emma is still so young, but I do know how time flies and we will soon be entering those crucial "growing up years" with her. We are of the persuasion that courtship is the best course of action and hope to implement it with all four of us children ~ even the boys. :)

AND last, but not least ~ recipes ~ I always enjoy it when you share recipes with us...

This is by no means an exhaustive list ~ I enjoy all your posts. Thanks for asking for our input!

Have a lovely evening my friend!
Love,
Camille

Hi Camille,
Thank you for your input as well. I would like to touch on courtship vs. betrothal. And in that will come our testimony of how Steve and I met. Like I asked Nadine, I covet your prayers as I look to write about these things. They are pretty heavy subjects and I don't want to treat them lightly.

:)

Thanks again my friend,

Christa

Hi Christa:

Yes I do check out your blog:)

I am going to borrow your idea and ask the same general question on my blog as far as what others may want to see written. I am fairly certain I will not be writing on cooking, recipes, crafts and such, but you never kjnow :) Have a great day.

Grace and Peace,

Tony

What a great idea. I also would love to hear your testimony. In addition, I would love to here your thoughts on why you homeschool.

My husband and I are in the adoption process and I'm unsure what to do about education. I don't have any one around me who homeschools but I feel God is calling us to this.

Sandy,
I would love to write about my home school experience. Thank you for the suggestion.

Tony,
Great idea. In fact, any ladies out there who have husbands who would like to ask questions, you can direct them to Tony's blog. Tony was our pastor/elder at the church we attended in Southern California.

I have added you to my prayer basket Christa ~ I agree, these are weighty matters and you definitely want the Lord's help to put your thoughts on "paper". I noticed someone else asked about your homeschool ~ I would enjoy learning about how you have done that over the years too. :)

Love,
Camille
